Passive Voice - කර්ම කාරක වාක්‍ය

අපි මුලින්ම බලමු මොනවද මේ කර්ම කාරක වාක්‍ය කියලා....

කර්මකාරක වාක්‍ය යනු ක්‍රියාවට ලක්වන්නා පිළිබඳව මුලින්ම කතා කර තනන වාක්‍ය යි. එහිදී කතෘ කෙනෙක් නොමැතිව වුවද අපට වාක්‍ය තැනිය හැක.

We use passive voice ta express the ideas that we cannot use in active voice not only that we use passive voice to emphasize the subject

උදා:-

කේක් ඕඩර් භාරගනු ලැබේ.
cake orders are undertaken

මෙහි පෙරගෙවුම් පත් විකුණනු ලැබේ.
Prepaid cards are sold here

මෙහි වාහන සෝදනු ලැබේ..
Vehicles are washed here

ඔහුව අවශ්‍යයි.
He is wanted

*- මේ වගේ වාක්‍ය රට අපි දැකලා තියෙනවා නේද. මේවා කියන්නේ Passive වලින් තමයි. අපි දැන් බලමු කොහොමද passive වාක්‍ය කියන්නේ කියලා.

*- Passive වාක්‍ය හදන්න පෙර අපි මුලින්ම දැන ගන්න ඕනේ කොහොමද Object එක හොයා ගන්නේ කියලා....

අපි ක්‍රියා පදයෙන් ප්‍රශ්න 04ක් අහනවා. ඒ ප්‍රශ්න හතරෙන් එකකට හරි උත්තරයක් එනවනම් ඒක තමා Object එක.. By asking the following question the object can be easily identified

* What - මොකක්ද
* Whom - කාවද
* To whom - කාටද
* From whom - කාගෙන්ද

---Important / වැදගත්---

Natural incidents can never be spoken in passive voice
ස්වාභාවික සිදුවීම් passive voice කතා කළ නොහැක

Habitual actions are not used in passive voice
පුරුද්දක් ලෙස කරන ක්‍රියා passive voice තුල භාවිතා කල නොහැක.

The Following verbs cannot be converted into passive voice
පහත සඳහන් ක්‍රියා පද passive voice තුලදී භාවිතා කල නොහැක....

* Go , Come , Run , Jump , swim , fly , cry , happen , depend , Die , Rain , Fight , Walk , work 

The common formula :-

~ Object + Helping verb + Main Verb (past participle) + by + subject ~

• All the passive voice sentences are started with the subjective form but its meaning is different
පහත සඳහන් සර්වනාම පද passive voice තුලදී අර්ථය වෙනස් වෙනවා. ඒ ගැන හොද අවබෝධයෙන් ඉන්න ඕනේ...

 I – මට/මාව/මගෙන්
 We – අපිට/අපව/අපෙන්
 You – ඔබට/ඔබව/ඔබගෙන්
 They – ඔවුන්ට/ඔවුන්ව/ඔවුන්ගෙන්
 He – ඔහුට/ඔහුව/ඔහුගෙන්
 She – ඇයට/ඇයව/ඇයගෙන්
 It - ඌට/ඌව/ඌගෙන්

Lesson 01 :- Simple Present tense

Formular :-

Object + Be Verbs (is/am/are)+ Main verb(past participle) + by+subject

Ex:-

අම්ම මට ආදරෙයි - Mother loves me ---------> Active Voice

* මට ආදරෙයි අම්මා - I am loved by Mother ------> Passive voice

Ex :-

I am seen Every day
මාව දකිනවා හැමදාම

We are punished everyday
අපට හැමදාම දඩුවම් කරනවා

she is advised
ඇයට අවවාද කරනවා.

coconut are plucked
පොල් කඩනවා

People are cheated
මිනිස්සුන්ව රවට්ටලා

Highways are constructed in sri lanka
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අධිවේගී මාර්ග ඉදිකරනවා

The president is elected by the public
ජනාධිපතිතුමා තෝරාපත් කරනු ලබන්නේ ජනතාව

Lesson 02 :- Simple past tense

Formular :-

Object + Be Verbs (was/were)+ Main verb(past participle) + by+subject

Ex:-

Active voice :- ඇය ඔයාව දැක්කා - She saw you
Passive voice :- ඔයාව දැක්කා - You were seen

Ex:-

Vehicles were repaired here
මෙහි වාහන අලුත්වැඩියා කළා

He was selected
ඔහුව තෝරාගත්තා.

I was forgotten
මාව අමතක කළා

I was Promoted
මාව උසස් කළා

Lesson 03 :- Simple future tense

Formular :-

Object + Be Verbs (will be/ shall be)+ Main verb(past participle) + by+subject

Ex:-

Active voice :- ඇය මාව තොරගනිවී - She will select me
Passive voice :- මාව තොරගනිවී ඇය විසින් - I will be selected by her

I will be punished today
අද මට දඩුවම් කරවී

She will be taught English well
ඇයට හොදින් ඉංග්‍රීසි උගන්වාවි

We too will be questioned
අපෙනුත් ප්‍රශ්න කරවී

You will be dismissed from the job soon
ඔයාව ලගදීම ජොබ් එකෙන් අස් කරවී

Everything will be completed
හැමදෙයක්ම සම්පුර්ණ වේවි
