COW ATE RICE RATION BOOK:
Mrs. Margaret of Second cross street Batticaloa is helpless
as her new rice ration book is lying in the belly
of a stray cow in Batticaloa --- yes it was snatched and eaten
by the cow when her little son was returning with it from
the Co-0perative Stores.
When the cow attracted by the green color snatches the coupon book
from the boy, he had started to cry. Two Electricity Department
employees who were nearby attempted to recover the book,
but it was too late, for, the cow had swallowed the entire book.
මඩකලපුවේ දෙවැනි හරස් වීදියේ මාගරට් නෝනා මහත්මිය අසරණය.
ඇගේ අලුත් සහල් සලාක පොත මඩකලපුවේ දඩාවතේ යන එළදෙනෙකුගේ බඩෙහි තිබෙන නිසා.
ඔව්, කුඩා පුතණුවන් ඒකත් සමඟ සමූපකාර වෙළද සැලෙහි සිට අපසු එනවිට එළදෙන
විසින් එය ඩැහැගෙන කන ලදී.
කොළ පාටින් සිත් ඇදී ගිය එළදෙන කූපන් පොත ළමයාගෙන් ඩැහැගත් කල ඔහු හඬන්නට පටන් ගෙන තිබුණි.
නුදුරින් සිටි විදුලිබල දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ස්වකයින් දෙදෙනෙක් එළදෙනගෙන් පොත ආපසු ගැනීමට තැත්කළහ.
එහෙත් එය ප්‍රමාද වූවා වැඩිවිය. මක්නිසාද යත් එළදෙන මුළු පොතම ගිල දමා තිබුණි.
