Computer Programming

What is a Computer Program?

A computer program is a sequence of instructions written using a Computer Programming Language to perform a specified task by the computer. A computer program is also called a computer software, which can range from two lines to millions of lines of instructions.

Computer program instructions are also called program source code and computer programming is also called program coding. A computer without a computer program is just a dump box; it is programs that make computers active.

there are hundreds of programming languages, which can be used to write computer programs and following are a few of them:

C,  C++,   C#,   F#, Java, PHP, Perl, Ruby, Rails, Python, Cobol, Matlab, Pascal, JavaScript, Objective, C, Visual Basic, SQL, ASP, Action Script, Ecma Script, Fortran, Groovy, Squirrel, JSP

Development Environment

A text editor or IDE to create computer programs

A compiler to compile the programs into binary format

An interpreter to execute the programs directly

Similar to Human Interface Languages, Computer Programming Languages are also made of several elements. We will take you through the basics of those elements and make you comfortable to use them in various programming languages. These basic elements include:

1. ඔබගේ ලිපිය එලෙසින්ම පරිගණකය තුල ඔබේ නමින් ෆෝල්ඩරයක් සකස් කර ඒ තුළ ASSIGNMENT 1 යන නමින් ගබඩා කරන්න.
2. පිටුව වසා දමා MS – WORD වලින් ඉවත් වන්න.
3. ඔබගේ ලිපිය නැවත විවෘත කරන්න.
4. ඔබගේ ලිපිය නව පිටුවකට පිටපත් කරන්න.
5. ලිපියෙහි මාතෘකාව “Computer Programming” පහත දැක්වෙන පරිදි සංස්කරණය කරන්න.

(size- 20, style-Bold and underline, letters- Uppercase, alignment – center)

5. අනුමාතෘකාව ” What is Computer Program?” පහත දැක්වෙන පරිදි සංස්කරණය කරන්න.

( size- 14, color – Blue)

6. පළමු ඡේදය තෝරා එය පහත දැක්වෙන පරිදි සංස්කරණය කරන්න.
    Italics, alignment to Justify, first line indent to 1”
7. 3 වන ඡේදය දකුණු පසින්  0.5 ක් ඇතුලට ගන්න (Indent 0.5").
8. "C,  C++,   C#,   F#, Java, PHP, Perl, Ruby, Rails, Python, Cobol, Matlab, Pascal, JavaScript, Objective, C, Visual Basic, SQL, ASP, Action Script, Ecma Script, Fortran, Groovy, Squirrel, JSP" මගින් දැක්වෙන්නේ පරිගණක භාෂාවන්ය. ඒවා එකක් යට එකක් පිහිටන පරිදි සකසන්න.
9. ඉහත ඒවාට ඉහලින් ,“names of programming languages “ ලෙස අනුමාතෘකාවක් යොදන්න. එය රතු පාටින් දිස්වීමට සකසන්න.
10.  “ Development Environment “ යටතේ ඇති කරුණු 3 තනි ඡේදයක් ලෙස සකසන්න.
11.  “development environment” යන්නෙහි අකුරු විලාසය, ප්‍රමාණය සහ වර්ණය ඔබ කැමති පරිදි වෙනස් කරන්න.
12. ඉහත මාතෘකාවෙහි අකුරු "CAPITAL" වලින් දිස්විමට සකසන්න.
13. පළමු ඡේදයෙහි  first line indent අඟල් 2 ලෙස වෙනස් කරන්න.
14. පළමු ඡේදය  justify කරන්න.
15.  “basic matters “ යන කොටස තෝරා එය Italics කරන්න.
16. ඔබගේ ලිපිය නැවත Save කරන්න.
17. මුලින් විවෘත කළ ලිපිය තවමත් විවෘතව පවතී. එය  Save නොකර පැකේජයෙන්න්න ඉවත් වන්න.
18. නැවත ලිපි 2 වෙන වෙනම විවෘත කර වෙනස දැකගන්න.
